One small step for OH TIMMY

[edit: spoilers for new titans ish in the link] Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

Sorry to spam, but. For this, I shall spam, BECAUSE. Timmy Drake, I ♥ you, you crazy little bastard.

I am well chuffed by this particular development. If I wasn't mourning the loss of this creative team just this morning, I'd have double reason to do so now.

Oh, if only the comics here hadn't been delayed this week. I wish to squee with paper in my hands.

Spoilers for Teen Titans #43 in the link above. Hah. Whups. I should have said that first. Okay, I've edited. My conscience is okay.

I think Betty said it best: There is not enough therapy in the world.

I LOVE HIM SO.

OH TIMMY. There's a Faramir icon someone has, which says, "there aren't enough days in the week for all the therapy I'm going to need." I wish I had it to reply here.

It's not *enough* by a long shot, but it's good to know Tim hasn't forgotten her even in DC Bruce has.

Ahahaha. Oh, Timmy. You would be the worst therapy patient ever. It would be like on Supernatural where Sam had therapy and then tried to shoot Dean to death.

No, DC hasn't forgotten her, because then they couldn't write replies to G-W letters saying 'no, Stephanie's not getting a case'. Which is, you know, okay, because it keeps G-W's detractors from having another thing to bitch at us for doing/not doing/doing wrong.

OH TIMMY. I'm keeping the faith that the unique sort of Crazy will remain intact in that title. Maybe.

Quote Betty: Oh Tim. You made a case for your parents? There is not enough therapy in the world.

Hey, he walked into the Batcave at thirteen, and there was Jason's case, front and center. Naturally he figured that when you're a superhero with your own place, and you have dead loved ones to remember, well, *that's what you do.*

TIM. "Have you ever thought about making a case for your parents?"
BRUCE. *twitch*
TIM. "I'd be happy to help."
BRUCE. *twitch twitch*
TIM. "Of course, getting the clothing will be a problem."
BRUCE. *shudder*
TIM. "I'll get the shovel."

Bruce has Martha's pearls in a memorial case, on their broken string. And, on the occasions it's canon, Thomas' Bat-Man costume has a case too. I can only imagine what Bruce and Tim would have done if Dick had died as planned in the Crisis. Possibly encased entire apartments in glass.

I think the pearl-case was in an LOTDK issue. I quite like the idea that it was small horrifying Tim who put that particular plan in motion.

Of course he does. Oh, Bruce. The Batverse: where a glass case equals love.

(True all around, now that I think about it. Bruce and Tim use real cases; Dick puts his loves in little glass cases in his heart, and preserves them just as they ever were. And Babs has a case around herself, to keep people away.)

Holy crap! That's...! It's...! O_o Hoo, boy.

I remember back when Smallville started, I sarcastically noted that if Lana Lang had a necklace made of the meteor that flattened her parents around her neck, obviously somewhere in that particular DC universe, there was a young Bruce Wayne running around with a keychain with the bullets that killed his parents on it. This surpasses even that level of a "WHY DID YOU DO THIS, SWEETHEART?! WHY, WHY, WHY?!" reaction from me. So my next question is "DID HE ALSO KEEP THE BOOMERANG? WITH THE BLOOD ON IT AND EVERYTHING?" o_O

And to your next question I can only answer "I'm sure you've hit the nail on the head there."

I love the idea of Bruce's Lana-keychain. That's deeply beautiful.

The best part about your icon is the idea that, somewhere in the depths of Bag End, there are glass cases for Frodo's fallen allies. Perhaps some kind of tasteful loincloth for Gollum.

I saw this on scans_daily the other day and immediately thought of you and girl-wonder.org.

It's great to see Steph get some recognition like that.

But you're right. There still needs to be a Robin case in the Batcave.
