All sorts of wincing
Every year I procrastinate buying my plane ticket to Brisbane for the holidays until the last minute, and so every year I pay ludicrously high prices. Such are the punishments due to me for never doing any long-term planning. Sigh. That's $400 gone out of the 'Mary Misses America' piggybank, wah. :(
Still, my family are somewhat good value, so I don't really mind all that much. Maybe I can convince them that my presence amongst them can stand in place of more traditional Christmas gifts! I could perform juggling and rudimentary magic tricks.
Also my back is super-achy-sore-horrible today. I was planning to go to the
Night Market tonight to do Christmas shopping (I haven't done any at all, because I'm pretending that if I ignore the need, the need will go away. See first paragraph of this entry for example of inevitable consquences of this choice) but now I'm thinking I might just go home after work and curl up and watch the Gary Oldman Dracula or something. Blerf.
